In Brazil the regulatory agency responsible for the inspection of clinical trials is ANVISA. This agency regulates all studies from phases I  through IV, as well as being resposible for giving information and support to the pharmaceutical companies and research centers. Recently, there has been the implementation of generic drugs in the country, being ANVISA a successful organ in carrying out this new demand of the market. These regulations are done through decrees, laws and resolutions.
